# [Plugin: WordPress HTTPS (SSL)] Secure Connection Failed – Can't access website at all

 * Every time I try to log in or even access my site I get this message:
 * Secure Connection Failed
    An error occurred during a connection to chronosmedia.
   net.
 * SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.
 * (Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)
 * The plugin isn’t even activated, this is becoming a giant problem. I’m a noob
   when it comes to programming so a simple solution would be much appreciated, 
   I would like to properly configure the SSL connection for my website but at this
   point I’d just be happy to have everything working as it did…

 * Ok so I got it back up and running using functions.php, I still need to know 
   how to properly configure the SSL certificate.
