    First I just want to say how impressed I am with the thought that’s gone into this plugin. If WP don’t make this standard sometime soon, they’re fools!

    But I do have a problem, in that people who aren’t logged in can’t see the ‘most popular’ list. Admins can, and the plugin is collecting all the necessary data just fine, but users who aren’t logged in only see “Sorry. No Data So Far.”

    When I log out as an admin and then view the homepage, I can still see the number of pageviews I could see as admin, but when I try it from a computer I haven’t been logged in on as admin, it’s “Sorry. no Data So Far.”

    I’m using the Original News Theme, and I’ve put “<?php wpp_get_mostpopular(); ?>” into popular.php.

    Regards,
    Russ

    Also, I’ve just noticed, the list displays differently on different pages. For example, when not logged in, the main page displays “Sorry. No data so far.” but the ‘Publications’ page shows a couple of items, the ‘Blogs’ page displays a couple of different items, and so on.

    The URL is http://dorsetnews.protestwatch.org.uk if that’ll help.

    Also I’m not sure where to adjust the settings that will apply to the “<?php wpp_get_mostpopular(); ?>” tag.

    Cheers,
    Russ

    I just tried the solution listed here, and that seems to have solved the issue with different results depending on different pages, but now none of the page views seem to be registering.

    And I’m still not sure where to adjust the settings that will apply to the “<?php wpp_get_mostpopular(); ?>” tag.

    Hi russco2,

    Just checked your site and it seems to be working OK. Viewed the “‘Myth-busting’ leaflet” post and now it’s ranking second position on your popular listing (it was fifth when I landed on your home page for the first time).

    By default, WordPress Popular Posts won’t count views generated by administrators/logged in users. The solution you mentioned is a hack to have my plugin register all views no matter if the user is logged in or not.

    Yeah I think the problems fixed. Turns out the code that has to be in header.php wasn’t directly next to the </head>, I moved it there and it all seemed to fix itself.

    Thanks again for an awesome plugin!
