# [Plugin: WordPress.com Stats] Parse error. Not well formed

 * I’m trying to activate the plugin in one of my wp instalations. I get this error:
 * > Error from last API Key attempt:
   > parse error. not well formed
 * I tried to activate the same plugin on another installation in same domain but
   another directory, and it worked properly. I tried disabling all other plugins
   that I have today and also changed the permission of all files to 755, still 
   does not work.
 * Does anyone have any idea how to fix it?

 * I’m gonna go ahead and bump this, since I’ve had the same problem for a really
   long time, and no one seems to have the answer?
