Plugin works only after emptying tmp folder

    Plugin works fine for a while, then will stop generating PDF’s. Only way to get it to work again is to manually empty cache/tmp folder. All plugins, WordPress, Genesis theme, PHP (7.2) are up-to-date. Site is hosted on WP Engine. Have deactivated all site plugins except for WP Crontrol and wp-mpf. Any suggestions?

    Is it possible that your hosting was running out of disk space?

    Thank you for the reply. I don’t think it’s a disk space issue. The temp folder might only have 15-20 files at any one time. The site is a couple of years old and has a decent amount of custom functionality, so there could be other issues at play. Instead of further going down the black hole of troubleshooting, I just went ahead and added a cron job to delete the tmp files. Hopefully that should work for now.
