[Plugin: WP-DBManager] multiple backups after installing w3-total-cache

I’m getting multiple automated database backups instead of the usual 1 backup daily. It started after I installed w3-total-cache yesterday. I usually get my backup done and emailed to me around 6:50pm and both days I got the 10 generations (my setting) starting at 6:52 to 6:55pm. Not sure if it would stop on its own but I jump online and disable it. I’m loving total cache and don’t want to deactivate it. Is there something I can do?

Scratch that on the 10 generations – I’ve received 16 emails so far tonight …
