# [Plugin: WP Super Cache] Make cached pages fresh for long

 * Hi,
 * I have WP site with lots of static content, with no commenting option and no 
   user registering.
 * 1/ I just need cached files to be removed when I make new post or edit a post.
   I guess for that I need to check “Clear all cache files when a post or page is
   published or updated.” ?
 * 2/ If there’s nothing new on the site (no posts or pages), cached files can stay
   there for as long as they want. Can somebody tell me what number of seconds should
   I put for Cache Timeout and Timer if I want to achieve that? Basically to make
   pages stick around for as long as possible.

 * OK I put 86400 for both Cache timeout and Timer. As I understand, this way my
   cache files will be deleted every 24 hours?

 * Make the timer less than that, maybe 3600 seconds so it checks more often as 
   not all cached pages are created at the same time.
