# [Plugin: WP Super Cache] Error on Publishing Post

 * I have a blog at diabolicalorsmart.com. When I added a new post today, my blog
   stopped displaying. I am getting this error now :
 * WARNING: WP SuperCache plugin is Deactivated. Please Activate this plugin. Please
   follow these instructions.
 * But upon checking, I find that my plugin is activated and also ON. I have set
   the plugin not show cached pages to registered users and also to clear all the
   cache files when a post is published.
 * Any help on how to resolve the issue.

 * I’m having a similar issue on my blog at Brothers-Brick.com.
 * I published several posts last night after auto-updating to the latest version
   of WP Super Cache during the day, and none of the posts appeared on the main 
   page.
 * I checked the WP Super Cache settings page and got the error about the advanced
   cache file being missing or unwritable. I fixed that so that the Settings page
   displayed correctly, but the posts didn’t appear until I deleted the cache entirely.
 * Since then, I’m receiving reports from commenters that their comments aren’t 
   appearing (there are duplicates in the admin panel as they try to repeat-post).
   I’ve added content to one of the posts currently on the main page, and my updates
   aren’t appearing either.
 * This hasn’t happened with any previous version of WP Super Cache. 🙁

 * UPDATE: I’d missed the “Deleting comment doesn’t reset cache for page (it should!)”
   thread below this one.
 * As suggested, clearing the **Course file locking **check box appears to have 
   resolved this (though I don’t remember ever turning that on).
 * Best plugin ever, BTW. We get about 22,000 page views in a day, so WP Super Cache
   is a lifesaver. 🙂

 * Nopes. None seems to work for me. I do not have the course file locking enabled.
   And the error I get is of plugin being erroneously detected OFF. I have tried
   deactivating and then deleting the plugin, but the problem remains.

 * i was having the same issue: new posts would be published but the page would 
   still show the cached, older version with no new posts. what i did to fix it 
   was to rename the file wp-content/wp-cache-config.php to something else, and 
   then hit save settings on theplug in page to force the plugin to rebuild the 
   wp-cache-config.php file. all my issues seem to have disappeared.
