Do you happen to have another plugin installed that manages updates like Easy Update Manager( [https://wordpress.org/plugins/stops-core-theme-and-plugin-updates/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/stops-core-theme-and-plugin-updates/))? * Generally, this sounds like a plugin conflict of some sort. Try disabling ALL other plugins besides WP Rollback and Yoast SEO. If it works as expected then, start re-activating each plugin one by one until you find the problem again. Then install it again via the “Add New” screen. * My other thought is that perhaps your host has additional security in place for installing plugins. I’ve seen some hosts require an FTP password during the plugin install process.
