 * getting an error message saying plugin already exist in a directory
 * its there
    how can I fix’

 * You’ll need to access your server via [SFTP or FTP](https://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients),
   or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/
   plugins/ and delete the directory for the plugin that claims to still exist.
 * Then you’ll be able to install the plugin normally from Plugins > Add New in 
   your site’s Dashboard.
