# plugins cannot create site map

 * I have used Google XML sitemap for years. Since my url’s changed with WP 5.2 
   it gets this from Google Sitemap can be read, but has errors
    Missing XML tag
   1 instance This required tag is missing. Please add it and resubmit. Examples
   Line 3 Parent tag: urlset Tag: url my sitemap is [https://www.autobooks-aerobooks.com/index.php?xml_sitemap=params=](https://www.autobooks-aerobooks.com/index.php?xml_sitemap=params=)
 * I deactivated this plug in and installed Yoast
 * I have followed all their instructions including refreshing permalinks and turning
   sitemap off and on but when I view sitemap I get 404 not found

 * I have tried 2 different plugins and neither one can generate a site map

 * Understood. This likely means google made a change to their site maps api and
   you will need to contact the plugin devs of those two plugins to get them to 
   fix their plugins. The only other thing I can think of that could be causing 
   the issue is a conflict between your theme and the plugins you are using.

 * Silly question here, but in Yoast plugin did you literally go and enable xml?
   By default no plugin has xml enabled. To do that in Yoast go to SEO » XML Sitemaps
   and check the box to enable XML sitemap functionality. Just to be sure.

 * No question is silly Stef. I had missed that he was using Yoast after disabling
   the other plugin else I’d have actually asked the same question.
