# Plugins don’t update

 * Running 2.7rc1 on DownTownHost.
 * For some reason the plugin updaet information is not fetched. That is, I know
   that half the plugins that I have installed (active or not) have been updated
   since I’ve installed them. in 2.6.* WP would alert me when the update was available
   and automatically install it if I choose to. Now, however, WP acts as if no updates
   are available and I have no idea how to force it to check for plugin updates.
 * Any ideas?

 * yeah, the auto-update freezes halfway through. Also I get a 500 server error 
   whenever I try to delete pages.

 * I just did this thanks. Strangly enough i don’t have the update_plugins option
   in the options table!

 * 2.7 RC1 – attempted update of WordPress stats – got this (fairly quickly)
 * Upgrade Plugin

 * Unpacking the update
 * Deactivating the plugin
 * Removing the old version of the plugin
 * Installing the latest version
 * Plugin upgraded successfully
 * Attempting reactivation of the plugin
 * Plugin reactivated successfully.
 * Second time through, Stats updated fine.
 * Just sayin.

 * 2.7 rc1 and 2 worked fine for plugin updates for me, 2.7 final I just get a error
   message.

 * I think this is a generic bug on 2.7, although I have not come across it on the
   new realease 🙂
