# Plugins for Trackbacks and Pingbacks?

 * Is there any plugins that automatically send out trackbacks and pingbacks to 
   blogs you linked to?
 * Also, what is the difference? And is one better than another?

 * neither of those requite a plugin — thats a standard fucntionality in nearly 
   all blogging packages, WP included.
 * There is no difference really other than the way theyre sent.
 * sending pingbacks when you link to a site is configurable inside your wp-admin:
   options –> discussion:
 * very first checkbox..
 * Attempt to notify any Weblogs linked to from the article (slows down posting.)
 * a box for sending trackbacks exists on every write post page

 * I don’t understand the question.
    For PB – you include a link in your post to
   the other blog’s post. For TB you put the TB URL of the other blog’s post in 
   the proper field.

 * Pingbacks are fully automatic. When you link to anywhere in a post, WordPress
   searches for a pingback and if it can, it sends one.
 * Trackbacks are manual. You use the trackback section at the bottom of the post
   page to send those. 99% of the time, you don’t have to bother, simply linking
   to another site will cause a pingback to work, making the trackback unnecessary.
