 * Hello Jeff, I hope you are well.
 * I thought this headache was over since it hasn’t happened for a long time now,
   but just now my plugins got disabled in the backend, as previously discussed
   in these threads:
 * [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugins-keep-being-disabled/](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugins-keep-being-disabled/)

   [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/it-really-disables-the-plugins-please-help/](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/it-really-disables-the-plugins-please-help/)
 * I don’t know and can’t figure why!
 * So far, I have not set anything on PO’s global plugins page or anywhere else.

   The **only** thing that I have set, is a plugin filter for my homepage that I
   have put some plugins to the “Disabled Standard – Not Logged In” section.
 * The problem is that I can’t reproduce this issue right away so I can see what’s
   wrong.
    It seems to happen after some hours and every now and then, if I could
   reproduce it right away I could probably resolve this, since as you said in the
   past it could be a conflict with some other plugin.
 * I do not run any caching plugins for now, and I use Wordfence for security.

   My site also uses Cloudflare.
 * Any advice? This is really frustrating.
    Thanks.

 * After trying to understand this, I saw that the issue happens the second I visit
   the homepage through a private new window as an unregistered visitor.
 * I have also disabled Wordfence but nothing changed.

 * It’s wordfence that is disabling your plugins. I just installed it on my test
   site and it disabled my plugins. When you say you disabled it do you mean you
   disabled it through plugin organizer? That won’t stop it from doing the scans
   in the background unless you globally disable it. If you turn off the option
   to scan plugins it stops disabling them.

 * That plugin also doesn’t clean up after itself. It has left my .htaccess file
   in a bad state and left files in my root directory. Glad I installed it on a
   test site.

 * Thanks for the reply.
 * No, I mean I disabled it from the plugins section.
 * Do you think this issue can be resolved in a future update, because turning off
   the scanning of the plugins is a big feature and almost makes Wordfence to not
   have a reason to be installed and running then.
 * I’m sure more people have this conflict since Wordfence currently has 2+ million
   active installs. Also, too bad it’s leaving traces behind, I didn’t expect that.

 * It’s not plugin organizer that is disabling the plugins. It is wordfence. You’ll
   have to ask them to look at the conflict with their code that does the scanning
   and disables the plugins.

 * Alright, I’ll open a new thread on Wordfence then.
