 * Upon activating the plugin, the jquery (assuming it’s jquery?) functions in wordpress’s
   admin no longer work. Menus fail to accordion, selection boxes act oddly, and
   so forth. Disabling the plugin instantly allows resumption of this functionality
   in WordPress.

 * Sounds like the plugin is loading jQuery on Admin pages. It possibly needs a 
   code tweak to not do that.
