Title: Plugins not using templates Last modified: May 19, 2023 --- # Plugins not using templates * Resolved [dbcjs](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dbcjs/) * (@dbcjs) * [3 years ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugins-not-using-templates/) * Hi I’ve tried 2 different sermon plugins (the main plugins available for this function) on this church website (WP 6.2 theme twenty twenty three). In both cases the plugin creates it’s own page /sermons and subpages to display the content. However, these pages do not seem to use the site template pages or transfer the site header/footer. * The developers of Advanced Sermon plugin suggested work arounds involving hooks and child themes. Currently we are using the free version of Astra, but I tried Twenty Twenty-three in our test site and there is a setting to show the header/ footer on the Sermon archive page. Without this the page has no formatting! If you prefer to use default themes, the last classic theme was Twenty Twenty-One. * Or if you do go back to the other plugin that Mike mentioned, their forum is indeed the best place to get specific help with it, as he suggested. * I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved for now.
