Title: plugins.svn.wordpress.org update script does not update date Last modified: August 19, 2016 --- # plugins.svn.wordpress.org update script does not update date * [Yann at WP&Co](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ydubois/) * (@ydubois) * [15 years, 3 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/pluginssvnwordpressorg-update-script-does-not-update-date/) * Since at least last week, the plugins SVN repository script does not update the“ last updated” field when a new version of a plugin is uploaded. * Other information such as plugin version is updated, only the date stays stucked. * Active plugin version information in the stats tab also seems to be unreliable, although it may not be related. * I don’t know where to submit bug reports about the SVN repository, so I hope someone will see it here. So I just added 1 asterisk to the end of the == Changelog == section for = .46.1 = of my readme.txt file for the new tagged version ONLY and did another commit. The Last Updated Date updated almost instantly. I did not update the readme.txt file for the Trunk and did nothing else, but that one simple thing. Thanks. I know the “Last Updated” is just for show, but as others have stated, it makes it look like the plugin is not being maintained, which is very harmful in attracting new downloads, and it also keeps us off the “Recently Updated” list, which is also very harmful in attracting new downloads. * I know how it goes through, trying to tie in different interfaces together and having some obscure user issue pop up, with subsequent support issues arising.
