You are using custom post types right? If so then, it doesn’t look like this is doable. Scott said, “I plan on adding further integration with CPT core metaboxes for fields included.” That’s not going to get done until we have cmb2 fully integrated into Pods 3.0.
Yes, I am. Any possibility I could implement cmb2 and get it running normally myself? If I could get the featured image in there, that would be good, along with removing some of the extraneous fields I don’t need. It does look kind of ugly compared to the other WP individual post/page editing screens, but I think it could be workable. I just really like the Pods_ui post list filtering without having to pay an annual fee for Admin Columns Pro.
Probably. I don’t really know as I’m just getting my head around cmb2 myself.
I think that depending on how you value your time, that paying for Admin Columns Pro would be worth it. How many hours of your life is $100 or whatever he charges worth?
Good point. Part of it’s the principle, especially with the annual aspect, and the other part, the thrill of figuring out how to accomplish something new in coding. I’ll play around with cmb2 and report back here if it goes right. Thanks!
I totally agree with you on the desire to do it yourself, it’s fun and you learn something. I’m not sure I see the principle against paying for access to support for something that helps you, but that’s personal choice.
