Sorry to hear about the issue. If the resolution is set to full then the plugin should be retrieving the full size images from Instagram, so it definitely sounds like something may be up. Is it possible to send me a link to the page where you’re displaying the feed so that I can take a look?
Also, if you have a caching plugin on your site then try clearing/deleting the cache in that plugin as it’s possible that it’s still displaying the smaller images due to the page being cached.

I’ve sorted it. I realised that I’d changed the resolution to full in the customised settings, but the code in the widget was still on medium. I’ve now changed it to full and the images are crisp.
