I’d be happy to only keep one plugin instead of 3 (Autoptimize + Fastest Cache free + Fastest Cache paid).

But unluckily, the performance so far has been poor with SG Optimizer.
I have activated all basic settings, plus some (including lazy loading iframes since I use a lot of videos in my articles)

See here the comparison on GTMetrix (green before, red after):

What I am truly surprised about is the page size, which ballooned from 3.7 mb to 7.8 MB for this page: https://thepowermoves.com/48-laws-of-power-summary/

I’m thinking that SG is loading the videos in the page instead of deferring them.

    Any idea?

Well, to begin with, your caching is not working. At least on the page you’re providing. Is your Dynamic caching enabled in cPanel / Site Tools?

If you have an id with the SG help desk, please give it to me so I can look.

That would explain the page size.

Still strange though, on my end the test URL says that the page is cached (see picture here: https://www.screencast.com/t/N80jwXztcM).
I also have Sucuri though, so I’m thinking maybe the tool is actually checking Sucuri’s cache? Not sure…

And on the cPanel all three levels are on.

    P.S.:
thank you for the quick reply Hristo!

Any idea if performance can be improved somehow?

I understand that it might be difficult for a single plugin to replace a paid one and a knowingly top-notch plugin like Autoptimize, but before giving in I’d like to test it properly and know if I’m committing some mistakes.

The SG OPtimizer outperforms any other plugin on SiteGround servers. The huge page size difference is probably because you haven’t enabled the defer of JS files and / or minification of resources.

Disable all other caching / optimization plugins, enable the SG Optimizer and all the Frontend Optimizations. Make sure the dynamic caching is working and your sites will fly. I would do it enable optimization – check – enable another one – check to make sure site is working properly and if necessary to exclude a script or two from the optimizations.

    I’m happy to hear that.

There must be some issues I don’t see on my end, though, I don’t seem to be able to get any good results in spite all those features are enabled and the test for coaching status comes back positive.
The results on mobile are even worse, both on GMT and Google (14 on Google for the homepage).

Can I get in touch with support and have someone of you guys quickly look over it?

I also have the same issue. I disabled the plugin and it still caches, I am using other plugins to cache in the meantime. The plugin adds 2 seconds to the “Time To The First Byte”. I noticed I cannot toggle the settings for the plugin. I wiped it from the database and the issue still persists. Disabing this plugin, the website performance significantly improves.

Google search console also took note.

    I don’t think that’s a good result for a website running on a highly-rated host, on a cloud infrastructure.
