# possible workflow

 * We’re trying to set-up this workflow/email series:
 * 1. Acknowledge that the customer left items in the cart and ask if there’s anything
   we can help with.
    2. Offer 10% off a kit however, the code is only valid for
   14 days. 3. Remind them after 7 days that there is only a week left to use their
   code. 4. 24 hours before expiry remind them the code is about to expire if they
   haven’t already purchased.
 * Am I right to assume that it is not possible to set the expiry above as timer
   starts when the user clicks the code or we can actually set the code to expire
   for 14 days upon release of email?
 * Under the assumption that we are unable to do the latter, we set-up a workaround
   of generating codes for say first email = 7 days; second email = 7 days 3rd email
   = 1 day to complete the 14 day expiry (15 days technically)
 * Also another issue we are experiencing is that all emails in the series are sent
   out all together and not as scheduled.
 * May you also please confirm how it captures email/recovers order, generally a
   user should either be logged in> added to cart (doesnt need to reach checkout
   page) or not logged in but reached the checkout page and fills out the form with
   email, right?

    ﻿ ﻿Thank you for reaching out to us. ﻿ ﻿Here is the flow of
   how you can schedule the emails:
 * – ﻿You can schedule the first email after a certain time with the coupon code
   expiry 14 days.
    ﻿- The second email will be scheduled after seven days, informing
   that coupons will expire in the next seven days. ﻿- The Third email will be scheduled
   after 13 or 14 days i.e., before 24 hours informing that coupon will expire in
   24 hours.
 * You can add the coupon expiry from the email template.

   Emails will be sent out at the scheduled time.
 * To capture the email and checkout data,﻿﻿ customers ( for both logged in and 
   logged out ) need to visit the checkout page and enter the email address on the
   checkout page. Once they fill the email field, all checkout data will be capture
   automatically.

 * Hi,
 * a few follow-up questions please:
 * 1. the scheduled send outs seem like their timing is off? like a little late?
 * 2. how do we fix so that the emails dont go to spam box?
 * 3. say the customer followed the checkout link on the Recovery email, then decides
   to add more items, I noticed that when you apply the code, the percentage applies
   to total bill. Is there a way to just apply it to just the abandoned product?
   Also, what does fix cart mean on the setting Discount Type: Fixed Cart (vs percentage)
 * 4. It seems like the code doesnt expire? Set it to two hours but past that, the
   code was still applied when tested.

 * sorry what is the webhook for? we also have the Mailchimp for WooCommerce plugin
   installed and is it possible to make these 2 work together as we are after WCAR’s
   auto generate coupon with expiry feature. thanks

    ﻿ ﻿1. The email will be sent at the time set in the email template.
   If you have set the time of the first email after 30 minutes, then the plugin
   will send the email after the 30 minutes of the cart abandoned. ﻿ ﻿2. If your
   plugin is going into the spam, then it depends on your domain. The plugin does
   not cause this issue. ﻿ ﻿3. Yes, discount will be added to the whole cart, there
   is no option to apply the coupon at specific products. ﻿Here you can find the

 * 4. for the coupon expiry, I set it to 1 hour for testing purposes but with your
   response and upon Checking the Coupon Management, I now realize that expiry still
   means how many days it should be set to expire. So if I want to set it to one
   day, I could choose between putting in 24 hrs or 1 day
 * 5. link for webhooks is broken?

 * 6. is it possible that a customer could re-use the code? is it automatic for 
   the plugin to prevent that or do we have to set it on Coupon Management and do
   it individually?

 * The plugin generates a unique coupon with the usage limit one. So customers cant
   reuse the coupon.
 * You can check the usage limit in the Woocommerce coupon setting.
