# Possibly deleted page.php…=)

 * so back last week, when i didn’t know anything about WP…i made a change to the
   page.php page and possibly the wrong page.php page as well, and uploaded it possibly
   to the wrong spot even. =) i’m older and wiser now.
 * the problem is, i can’t remember exactly what i’ve done…when I go to pages in
   my dashboard, there they are…when I go to edit one however I get this..Fatal 
   error: Call to undefined function: get_header() in /home/.chat/farmer11/barbaradoyen.
   com/wp-admin/page.php on line 1
    I can quick edit the page, view the page, but
   I can’t EDIT the page…any ideas what I’ve done wrong?

 * Download a fresh copy of your theme and get page.php from it and replace it and/
   or compare the files.
 * If you dropped the old page.php somewhere else, it might not hurt anything, but
   it’s a good idea to find it and delete it, especially if it’s in the root of 
   your webserver.

 * If i download the theme’s page.php, and upload it into the wp-content/themes/
   nameoftheme/ file…would that affect the wp-admin file that the error is coming
   up with in the above error msg?

 * any ideas? i have two page.php pages..
    one starts with `<?php get_header(); ?

 * It sounds like you put a theme page.php in place of WP admin page.php, so upload
   a new copy of the theme page.php to your theme, and then download WP again, and
   get just the page.php out of wp-admin and replace that on your web server. Either
   of thos code snips could be from the theme page.php; neither is from a wp-admin
   page.php.
