I apologize in advance for the novice question, but is there some documentation on integrating the Post Type Add-On. I tried to wing it, but after wordpress recognizes it and I activate it deletes it and provides a message about the timeline-express-post-type-add-on.php file not being found, despite me having uploaded it.

Thanks in advance for your time.

    Hey Ourtinyfighters,

There is a little documentation on our site (http://www.wp-timelineexpress.com/knowledgebase_category/post-types-addon/), as I am working on ironing out a few bugs with the base plugin – then I will loop back around and expand on those articles.

Are you using it with the free or pro version of Timeline Express? It shouldn’t be deleting the plugin. If you don’t have the base plugin installed, it may deactivate itself and let you know that the base plugin is required – but it shouldn’t be uninstalling or deleting itself.

    Thanks,
    Evan

First thanks for the quick response.

I resolved the issue in the OP. I deleted the free version, reinstalled and installed the add-on without having the same issue, but I’ve come across another issue I was hoping you might look at if/when you have a moment. The posts within my timeline are incredibly skewed. The text is nowhere near the appropriate block.

    like so

Any ideas on what may be causing this?

I’m not seeing any announcements displaying on your page. It may be a styling issue with your theme. I would also double check that your shortcode is not placed inside of any <pre> or <code> tags. Some page editors do that for some reason.

Sorry, the posts should be showing now, if you get a chance to take another look.

I’ll check to see if those tags might be an issue.

Essentially the alignment is all skewed off. It had previously looked fine.

Again, sorry. My inexperience is clear.

    Hi,

It looks like the shortcode is wrapped in a <pre> tag.

From the WordPress editor click on the ‘Text’ tab, and remove the text from around the shortcode and the issue should be gone.

That may have happened if you copied the code directly from our site, or used a page builder to add the shortcode to a page.

    Thanks,
    Evan

That is exactly what I did and the issue has been resolved. Thanks!

    Perfect! No problem at all.

If you continue to use the plugin and find it to be useful, we would love it if you could leave us a positive review here in the WordPress directory:
