# Post view counts

 * I have been using W3TC and I’m quite happy with it.
 * I need to track how many times each of my posts are viewed. I know that W3TC 
   prevents db queries at every page creation. Is there another way of counting 
   page views reliably?

 * I use WP-PostViews and ajax_the_views together and it works fine with w3tc active

 * The description on ajax-the-views page says: “Note: WP-PostViews can count views
   when caching plugin is being used, but can’t display the count. This fixes that.”
 * I don’t want to show the number of views to the visitors. I want to see it only
   in the admin panel. Thus, I installed only WP-PostViews.
 * The count of views is increasing for many posts. I tested viewing some very old
   posts to be sure that I’m the only viewer. Unfortunately, their counts are still
   0.
