post_category not being updated

    the post_category field in the wp_posts table is not being updated at entry creation or entry edit. post_category for all new entries stays at 0.

    that, I believe, is correct behavior. that field is deprecated, since the addition of the post2cat table for multi-category tagging was added.

    i figured it out through trial and error. damn i hate sql.
    i wanted to pull the category ids of posts while going through the loop. if anyone wants the code, i’ll post it.
