 * Hey I just stumbled (no pun intended) over [Posterous’ FAQ](http://posterous.com/faq)
   and I must say that their list of features is impressive. The whole automation
   system is sure to get a lot of work out your hands if properly set-up.
 * Now. I love WP3.0 and the blogs I create with them, but some of these features(
   if not all of them) would be a great addition to my WP installation. But probably
   I can, with the help of some great plugins… But instead of making a post or doing
   a search for each separate feature, I thought I might list them all here directly
   and ask fellow WP-users what they think is a worthy option in WP as an opposition
   to the Posterous features.
 * So how would you make WP do any of the following?
 * **1) Email handling:**
    I know you can email a story to wordpress. But how can
   you make it do any of the following?
 * **A. **Make a gallery of some pictures you send.
    **B.** Automatically convert
   video to flash or h.264 and crop it to your blog width. **C.** Convert a document
   into a download link to that document. **D.** Convert a music file into a mp3
   for download and add a flash player. **E.** Convert an URL into a flash player
   if it is a link to Youtube (or any other video site).
 * **2) Networking**
    How can you integrate WordPress with Social sites so it posts
   automatically to Facebook and the like the stories you post. And how can you
   make reactions on those social sites appear as reactions on your own blog?
 * Hopefully people have some good ideas on this!

 * Hi Kadr,
 * I work at Posterous and appreciate the kind words about our feature set. We still
   have a lot of work to do, but Posterous is getting better every day – stay tuned
   to our blog for the latest updates.
 * As for your questions, you can do this right now by having Posterous “autopost”
   to your WordPress site(s). YOu can find some info on this feature here: [http://posterous.com/help/autopost](http://posterous.com/help/autopost)
 * More specifically, you can email Posterous, which you can set up to Autopost
   to your WordPress site. You can also set up an autopost to Facebook, Twitter
   and other social networking sites.
 * Let me know if you run into any troubles either here or via email at rich(at)

 * hey Rich,
 * Great that Posterous discovered Fora of other platforms to make advertisement
   for their own platform: very social!
 * But, as you might have missed, the point of my post is how to avoid using Posterous
   and have as many features as possible from Posterous on WordPress.
