# Posting panels missing

 * Hello,
 * Probably a silly question but I just realized some of my post panels have gone
   missing. (Excerpt, Send Trackbacks, Custom Fields, Discussion and Author)
 * I must have deactivated something somewhere, but I seem to be overlooking this
   setting.
 * Does someone know where to look best perhaps?

 * have you tried:
 * -deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to narrow down and possibly fix the problem.
   If the problem goes away, activate them individually to find the culprit?
 * -switching to the default theme (Twenty Ten) for a moment by renaming your current
   theme’s folder in wp-content/themes. The idea is to force WordPress to fall back
   to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific issue?
 * -if that does not resolve the issue, try [increasing memory](http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP)
   available for php.

 * Thank you for commenting. I have done all you’ve described above, but nothing
   happens.
 * I just set up a new blog (3.0.2) and upgraded it to 3.1-beta1-16642. It seems
   to be a beta bug/setting.

 * Before that, let’s try one more possibility:
 * -Try adding this near the bottom of the wp-config.php: `define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS',
   false);`
    before this line: `require_once`

 * Hello, I have exactly the same problem! I’ve tried all I can (deactivate plugin,
   increase memory, etc…), but “Excerpt, Send Trackbacks, Custom Fields, Discussion
   and Author” boxes are missing for all admin/authors/editors, but there are visible
   for new admin/editor created by myself…

 * On the top right of the edit posts page you can see “screen options” button, 
   click on it and check these “Excerpt, Send Trackbacks, Custom Fields, Discussion
   and Author” checkboxes.
