# Posting problems

 * On several of my sites, with the new wordpress version, I’m getting a whole different
   look to my posting pages. Instead of the normal, file, edit, insert, view, format,
   table, tools headings I’m getting a box moved to the left of the screen with 
   the existing post that I did all scrunched up in the box…I cannot seem to change
   the posting format back no matter what I do. Went to Settings, Reading and all
   seems OK there….Any idea from anyone why my site would be doing this….Like I 
   say, I’ve now seen it on at least 3 of mys sites…Thanks.

 * Have you tried:
    – deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this
   resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate
   them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s). – switching
   to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Sixteen, etc.) for a moment using the WP
   dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere
   like plugins).

 * Tara, thank you for responding to my issue…YES, I temporarily deleted ALL of 
   my plugins to see if that changed anything…YES, it did, but not to the point 
   that I had the posting page back to normal…I still get the small box where all
   the text resides…I did switch to a different theme with no success…Still have
   the same issue….I’m really just about to delete the entire site and start over….
   Hate to do that because I have an audience who always comments on my postings
   who will miss the ones I put up in the past…I’m still holding out for a solution….

    PS: Notice the items above my reply…These are the only items that appear
   on my posting page…the rest of the items that are normally on a posting page 
   on 99% of WordPress sites are missing….

   The existing posts look normal, but I have no way currently of adding a post 
   or to edit existing posts…

   a reply, but they are the ones above the reply box in the forum…

 * To clarify, are you talking about in the back-end (admin area)?
 * If yes:
    – Your browser can help you identify JavaScript issues or conflicts.
   Do you have any Javascript errors in the console when looking at the editor page?–

   If you use any caching systems, like Cloudflare, clear those caches.

 * Tara, I tried the site in Firefox and it’s the same as I get in Chrome…All my
   other sites are fine…I believe I’ve seen this issue on one other site, but I 
   must have 60 sites and they’re fine…Don’t think this has anything to do with 
   a browser….I’m not using Cloudflare and no caching system with this site…
