# Posting/Saving Problem

 * I’m having problems posting. When I write a post and I click any of the options(“
   Save and Continue Editing”, “Save” or “Publish”) I get a “406 Not Acceptable”
   with the following message “An appropriate representation of the requested resource/
   wp-admin/post.php could not be found on this server.” I haven’t done anything
   to chance my setup, so this is kinda just starting on its own it seems. Should
   I reinstall or something? Any and all help is much appreciated.

   Again, as I said, I haven’t done anything to chance the settings.

 * Yeah, boy does it…. been there done that. Reinstalling isn’t going to help. And
   if it’s mod_security, depending on your host and your relationship with same,
   there’s not going to be much we can do from this end…..

 * hmm. I just left a comment that ought to have triggered mod_secuity and it didnt
   spit it back at me.
 * thats not neccessarily conclusive though.
 * `<?php phpinfo(); ?>` in a blank .php page will tell you if its (mod_security)
   even installed.
 * If you think that might be the cause, you can disable it:

 * if that’s not the cause, there are some other php issues that can cause that 
   error also, google the exact error you pasted, theres plenty of info on it.
