# Posts default text colour

 * How do I change the default text colour for posts? It is currently a mid-grey
   and it just does not stand out. My theme is Atom Lab Child.
 * I have searched the forum and whilst the question seems to have been asked numerous
   times non have an answer I can use. I have also looked at customise but cannot
   see any reference to Posts.

 * I sort of expected that answer but I can assure you that when I create a new 
   post the text is grey and I have to change it to black. And if, having saved 
   the post I go back to it and add more text then the new text is again grey.

 * OK, can you put up a test post (and provide a link) using your theme defaults?
   We can do some CSS to override.

   contact support team that is most familar with the theme’s operation to ask for
   guidance about text color adjustment.
 * Alternatively, deactivate all plugins and change to a default theme (use health
   check plugin [https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/)
   in troubleshooting mode) to narrow down the source of the text color changing.

 * I’m sorry but I’ve got this all wrong. Posts are absolutely fine. It’s the text
   in Message boxes that’s shows grey. My apologies.

 * The left hand box shows the issue. The top two paras are black because I changed
   them, the last para is the default colour.
