# Posts missing after update – SOS!

 * Hi. I ran updates a week or two ago and now find that the majority of my posts
   are not live on site. I have over a dozen event and press posts missing – publised
   as early as 2008. All ‘water cooler’ testimonials are missing as well. They show
   as published on dashboard. (Posts do show on home page blog.)
 * Please help! Thanks. Clare

 * Have you tried:
 * – deactivating **all** plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works,
   re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
 * – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

 * Thanks esmi.
    -I don’t have any plug-ins running. -My theme is customized by 
   developer (who I no longer work with), so I’m hesitant to revert to default theme.

 * I’m afraid you need to bite the bullet and try a temporary switch to the default
   theme in case it’s your current theme that’s the problem.
