 * I went in to start a blog post and noticed that my last 3 posts are gone. They
   are not showing up in the Admin page or on the site itself. I believe I backed
   up when I upgraded last time and am hesitant to upgrade to the 3.1.3 incase I
   can retrieve the info. The last post I did was on May 31st, which is now missing,
   and I haven’t touched it since. The latest post that shows up was on May 9th
   and I have since posted 3 more since than. Has anyone else had this issue recently,
   and is there a way to get those posts back?
 * Thanks
 * -Will-
 * P.S. If you need any more info, let me know, I am also new to this so bear with
   me.

 * Have you tried:
 * – deactivating **all** plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works,
   re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
 * – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause
   problems.

 * Ok I deactivated the plugins the reactivated them one by one, and nothing changed.
 * I have a purchased theme and can only see that as an option for a theme.
 * This site was set up by a friend and I am currently trying to get more info from
   him so I can run it myself, including hosting and stuff like that.
 * Thanks for the reply. Would upgrading fix it?

 * You should have the default Twenty Ten theme installed as well. Get your friend
   to add it for you.

 * Not sure that would be wise until you’ve figured this out. There’s an outside
   chance that it could due to a damaged database. Upgrading could make matters
   worse, if that was the case.
