# Posts page problem

 * Hello! i set the page “Blog” as the entries page in the blog, the problem is 
   that i want them to show the excerpt of the post and not the full entry but is
   not working.
 * What can i do to make it show the excerpt??

 * Look for “<?php the_content(); ?> ” in your editor. Change it to <?php the_excerpt();?

 * Thanks for your support, great to have you with us.
 * Please go to Appearance > Theme Settings > Blog and set Archive Post Content 
   to Post Excerpt.
 * Ultra offers the option to display Full Post Content or the Post Excerpt. Full
   Post Content is the default. The two settings allow users who would like to use
   the “more” quicktag to opt for Full Post Content and users who prefer the post
   excerpt to use that setting.

 * Just a quick reminder; all WordPress themes completely overwrite during theme
   updates so any changes made to theme files will be lost during the theme update
   process. If you have any problems with the above setting consider rolling back
   the edit made and see if that helps.

 * As i see your response i figure out that i didnt have all those options in “Theme
   settings” so i realized that i didnt update my Ultra theme, thanks to your response
   i updated my theme and fixed the problem following your steps. Thanks a lot!
