# Posts re-post themselves

 * The issue is that WordPress keeps duplicating certain posts starting with this

 * We have NOT found any commonalities between the posts that are being reposted
   though we have certainly looked.

 * Well, it’s hard to know, you’ve got a shipload of plugins running up there for
   sure, & were I you, I’d do a serious site audit to see if all of them are indeed
   necessary. I’m particularly concerned about the Nesting Pages plugin & wonder
   if this could be the cause. It’d be interesting to at least temporarily deactivate
   it & see if the issue resolves.

 * I’ve got an update:
 * We installed wp-security-audit and noticed that when a post reposts itself it’s
   right when we have just updated a navigation menu in “Appearances->Menu”. The
   log shows numerous PAGES being “created” (thought they are not) BUT there’s always
   a POST or two that get’s created too.
 * Looking at the SQL we see that the reposted posts have a menu_order number and
   no other posts on our site do.
 * 2 log entries:
    REPOSTED – EVENT ID: 5019 – A plugin automatically created the
   following post called Illinois home sales inch up in July; listings continue 
   to sell at a quick pace. View the post: View the post. (the URL was [https://www.illinoisrealtors.org/wp-admin/post.php?post=57898&action=edit](https://www.illinoisrealtors.org/wp-admin/post.php?post=57898&action=edit))
 * REPOSTED – EVENT ID: 2106 – Plugin modified the published post titled Illinois
   home sales inch up in July; listings continue to sell at a quick pace of type
