Posts Shortcode not displaying Post Excerpt

    Have latest version installed 4.9.9 and have site to automatically update it to latest version, so not exactly sure when this issue first arose. I use the Posts Shortcode on my Homepage to display the latest 2 posts, using the post excerpt (created using Easy Custom Auto Excerpt plugin). The default-loop.php Template is being used. When creating the Shortcode and I click the Live Preview Button to view it, it looks fine i.e. thumbnail, Title and brief summary. However, when I insert it onto the page then view it live on the site, it is displaying the whole posts. Hope you can help.
