# Pre Code before the testimony

 * When I create the testimonies page with a shortcode then view it, for some reason
   the theme/wordpress is putting pre code around the testimony. What would be causing
   this?

 * Try editing the testimonial in Text mode instead of Visual mode. If you see any
   tags like `<pre>`,`</pre>`,`<code>`,`</code>` remove them.
 * If there is no code like that in the testimonial then they may be in the page
   instead so try the same thing there.

 * Thanks Dillon, they were on the page with the shortcode.
 * Next problem is that I can’t get the shortcode to work with different prefs, 
   mainly, I want the display_url true to work, but it does nothing
 * Here is what I’m using for my shortcode
 * [testimonials per_page=”10″ display_url=”true” display_author=”false” ]
 * Does this look right?
