# premium theme or theme framework

 * Hello, I’m starting my first web site with WordPress for a client. I’m a designer
   not a programmer.
    What would be my best choice for the theme, a premium theme
   or a theme framework like PageLines ([http://www.pagelines.com](http://www.pagelines.com))?
   I mean, what would be easier for me to customize?

 * If you are just starting and don’t have a deadline I would suggest theme framework.
   A premium theme if you need to implement the site right away or quickly. I chose
   a theme for a my friend’s site and am currently working on phase two of the redesign.

 * [WP Framework](http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/wp-framework) is a good one.
   There are [several more](http://codex.wordpress.org/Theme_Frameworks) and there
   are even more when you Google them. I personally think it would depend on what
   your needs are for developing your theme. Happy hunting and I hope it helps some.
