# Preview doesn’t work when using Custom Post

 * Hi,
 * I’ve been google-ing for days, hopefully someone out there can help me out with
   my problem.
 * I created custom post (ie “Column”) using the plugin Custom Post Type UI,
    and
   changed the permalink for my custom post using Custom Post Type Permalinks.
 * Post Name: Custom
    Permalink: [http://DOMAIN/column/%post_id%.html](http://DOMAIN/column/%post_id%.html)
 * Everything works well,
    – I can post my post correctly – My post URL are correct
 * Except that, i can’t preview my post before publishing it.
    When i tried to preview
   it, the preview URL shows : [http://DOMAIN/?post_type=column&p=102&preview=true](http://DOMAIN/?post_type=column&p=102&preview=true)
   And it redirects me to my top page.
 * Once the post is published, the “Preview” button returns the following URL.
    
   [http://DOMAIN/column/102.html?preview=true](http://DOMAIN/column/102.html?preview=true)
 * I’m assuming that something to do with the permalink, may i have any advise on
   how to fix the URL for preview ?
