# Pro lightbox / browser back button issue

 * I’m running Nextgen Plus 1.6.4 on WP 5.3.2 (PHP version 7.2) and experiencing
   an odd problem with the browser back button. If I open an image in the Pro Lightbox(
   see link), click the close button, then click the browser’s back button it takes
   me back to the lightbox rather than going back to the referring page.
 * I have an identical setup running on another website: (example page: [https://markhosking.com/works/nggallery/works/CLOTHING](https://markhosking.com/works/nggallery/works/CLOTHING))
   where the back button does not behave in this anomalous way. Any suggestions 
   appreciated.. 🙂
