This usually happens when a payment gateway plugin fails to communicate back to your website. There can be several reasons why this happens – outdated plugins, theme/plugin conflicts, server issues, etc. * As a first step, please check that all the plugins on your website are updated to their latest versions. Please make sure to keep your WordPress and theme updated as well. * If all looks good, check if you’ve logging enabled in your payment gateway plugin settings. You should be able to find relevant logs under **WooCommerce > Status > Logs**. Use the dropdown on the Logs page to view the most relevant logs. * You might want to create a new order to test if you’re able o replicate this and to generate fresh log entries. * If that doesn’t help, please let us know which payment gateway plugin you’re using. * It will be great if you could share your current System Status Report. I can also see that the theme overrides default WooCommerce templates related to the Cart and Checkout page, which sometimes cause conflicts. * I would suggest switching your theme to a default theme like [Storefront](https://woocommerce.com/storefront/?aff=10486&cid=1131038) and then place a test order to see if the issue is still there. * **Before you’re switching the theme:** - Please make sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. Most hosting companies have this included in the subscription, but you could also consider using a service like **Jetpack**.
