# Problem Removing Padding

 * I am going around in circles to eliminate unwanted padding in a portion of a 
   post. I have a group which contains a columns block with three columns each of
   which contains a paragraph group of a single word. The padding setting for the
   group, the columns block, each of the columns and each of the paragraphs is 0,
   but there is padding. At some point I had it without any padding and I don’t 
   know what I changed that caused it to have padding. Does anyone have any suggestions
   for how I find out what is causing the padding? When I look at the CSS code I
   can see that padding is 0 in all the elements. I am working in Local on my desktop
   so I don’t know how to provide a link to the page. I tried to upload a screen
   grab of the post/page but I don’t seem to be able to do that here.

   I notice in your screenshot that the Paragraph has Margin set to 1. Is that causing
   the unexpected spacing?

 * Thanks. The margin setting was just for the left or right margin for the first
   and third paragraphs. But…I tried changing the group to a row and fiddled with
   some other problems and the unwanted padding disappeared as mysteriously as it
   appeared. I never know with stuff like this whether it is operator error, hardware
   malfunction or a software bug or feature.

 * Actually, you may be right. Looking at the screen capture again I think it was
   operator error and that the margin setting for the third paragraph had not been
   unlinked so that it was being applied all around.
