 * Hi there, your plugin is just what we’re looking for but unfortunately any changes
   made to the “Order By – Ascending or Descending” are not being saved and Ascending
   is always being returned as the default value. Any suggestions?
 * Also, from a previous closed “Widget Please” request – this would also be extremely
   useful. Any news?
 * Thanks,
    Den.

 * Hello flyden,
 * Which version of WordPress and bbPress are you using. I have just tested the
   plugin on the latest versions, and it appears to be working fine.
 * About the widget.
    I have been busy at home with things so have not been able
   to get any work done lately. I am hoping to move into my new office and come
   back to full-time work in 1-2 weeks. This widget will be 1st priority as soon
   as I come back.

 * I see the same issue as [@flyden](https://wordpress.org/support/users/flyden/).
   When I save and the page reloads it returns to the default value.
 * It would be nice if you could just apply this to all your forums in one go and
   for all in the future

 * Hi SandyRig,
    bbPress Version 2.5.4 WP version 3.9.1

 * I have tested it on the same versions on my local machine as well as on my client’s
   site, which is a multisite with many subdomains and getting thousands of hits
   daily. It appears to working fine. I have not had any complains in last 4 months,
   ever since I first installed it.
 * It could be having a conflict with some other plugin on your site. Can you give
   access to it.
 * OR
 * Please do these checks for me.
    After saving to descending order, check in the
   database table “post_meta” if there is any key created by the name “_bbp_sort_desc”.
   If yes, what is the metakey value assigned to it.
 * You might see more than one entries as one key is generated for each forum thats
   sorting order is changed.
 * Also, thankyou for suggesting a global setting for all forum. I have started
   work on it.

    I found it and there
   is no metakey value assigned … what should it be?

    It should be “desc”
   for descending and “asc” for ascending.

 * Could you please try and turn off all the other plugins except bbPress and then
   test this one.
 * OR
 * Install a fresh local WordPress copy and test.
 * I think its having a conflict with some other plugin.
 * If it works with all other plugins turned off. Try replacing “sort-replies” with“
   bbpress-sort-replies” on line 45 and 58, and then test with all the plugin on.

 * I have updated the plugin. Please check if you still have the issue with the
   latest version. I have also added the global option to apply sorting order to
   all forums.

 * Hi [@sandyrig](https://wordpress.org/support/users/sandyrig/)
    As I said before
   the plugin works great and thanks for adding the new global feature. I would
   like to make another feature request.
 * 1. Have the form at the top of the page, currently you have to scroll to the
   bottom but if you are using your plugin the latest comment is at the top. ie.
   Make the form appear at the top of the page if descending is chosen.

 * can anyone help me find a way to make it so my users can decide how they want
   to sort the forum? this plugin works great from an administrative end but our
   users are basically half in half wanting it descending vs. ascending and we can’t
   help but make people mad.
