 * I have wordpress installed in a sub-folder /wp. I had set it up to send people
to site.com/wp using the redirect code mentioned in “[Pointing your home site’s URL to a subdirectory](http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory)“.
I then wanted to shift it to site.com and followed the steps give in [Moving_WordPress#When_Your_Domain_Name_or_URLs_Change](https://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress#When_Your_Domain_Name_or_URLs_Change)
 * I even used Velvet Replace URL plugin to set my URLs right. However, my homepage
does not display now. However, all other posts and pages opened up with the new
   URLs.
 * Any idea what the problem may be?

 * What do you see instead of your homepage? What is the URL of the site?

 * Sorry, was away from wordpress for a while. I was seeing the initial error page‘
Site Under Construction’ which appears for this one when there’s nothing to display.
I’ve made my peace with the redirect, for now, however.
 * The URL of the site is [http://riskisgood.com](http://riskisgood.com)
    it’s set
   to redirect to htttp://riskisgood.com/wp

 * I think you can follow “Moving a Root install to its own directory” section of
   this page.
 * You can skip 1,3, and 6, since you have already moved WP core to subdirectory.
