# Problem updating plugins

 * Hello,
 * Lately, everytime that I update a plugin on a web, it looks like it’s updating
   but when it’s done and I go back to the plugin page, it appears there to be updated
   again.
 * I’ve checked the permissions of the folder and it’s writable.
 * Any thoughts on that?
 * I’ve tried to re-install wordpress last version but it stopped on this step:
 * “Downloading update from [http://wordpress.org/wordpress-3.6.1-no-content.zip…](http://wordpress.org/wordpress-3.6.1-no-content.zip…)
 * Unpacking the update…
 * Verifying the unpacked files…”

 * Try [Manually update](http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress#Manual_Update)
   from a fresh download of WordPress except wp-content – do not overwrite but delete
   wp-admin and wp-includes and replace them with fresh copies.

 * Hi Krishna,
 * I’ve deleted and replaced wp-admin and wp-includes but I’m still having the same
   issue with the plugins.
 * Any idea why?

 * Yes, that’s what I’ve done. I’ve deleted the old plugins and installed them again.
