Problem when adding a new page

    Hello
    I have a problem when adding a new page with
    VirtueVersion Free : 2.5.8
    I now get a sidebar on the right that has the following:
    Recent Comments
    Archives
    Categories
    No categories

    Meta
    Log in
    Entries RSS
    Comments RSS

    Virtue Theme Options for “Site Layout Style” is set to Wide Site, as it always have been.
    All older pages are fine and Wide Site.
    I no longer have the dropdown option on a new page to select the page template as I use to do.
    I searched the forum, but have not seen others with this problem.
    I have not changed or added anything since this has started.
    Any ideas of what could cause this?.

    Hey,
    From your edit page open the Screen Options tab on the top right of the page. From there select Page Attributes. Then you should see on the right side of the page a dropdown with page template options and from there you can select fullwidth.
    Let me know if this is not the case for you, and if not please post a link.

    Thanks for getting back.
    Yes, Page Attributes was checked and all that the block shows is:
    Parent and Order.
    But no dropdown for page template.
    Not sure how long this has been like this, been a while since I needed to add a new page.

    I’m seeing several 403 (forbidden) errors on your site. I would first try deactivating your plugins to see if one is conflicting. I would then try contacting your host to see if they are blocking something.

    Hey 4matt,
    The 404 is just a font thing. You can fix by going into the theme options > typography settings. Scroll down to the body font and re-select the font family then save. That will clear that.

    Other wise I see that you are using the fullwidth template on the link above. Did you get this working?

    Just a note about the “site layout style”.

    That doesn’t have to do with your sidebar.. it has to do with the layout style.

    For example this is wide: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue/
    and this is boxed: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue2/

    Thanks for the font info, for some reason I have never seen or had any 404’s or 403’s on my end.
    I will re-select the font family and re-save it as you suggest.

    The new page layout style problem turned out to be a corrupted child of your theme.
    I have no idea how that happened, seems the file encoding had changed.
    Once fixed, the page template dropdown menu magically returned.
