 * Hey all,
 * I’m facing many problems with WordPress.
 * 1. When I’m trying to upgrade any plug-in, first it’s asking me to Enter Hostname,
   FTP username and ftp password. After putting those details, I’m getting this
   error for all plug-ins:
 * > Downloading update from [http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/all-in-one-seo-pack.zip](http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/all-in-one-seo-pack.zip).
   > Unpacking the update.
   > Incompatible archive PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Invalid archive structure
 * 2. I can’t see any “update” button in the theme editing pages. I’ve to manually
   change the permissions from cPanel and then only I can edit a theme. I’m not
   sure about what should be the default permission for this?
 * Any help would be deeply appreciated.

 * Looks like you’ve tried to download some bad plugin archives. Have you tried
   installing plugins manually.

 * Hey,
 * The problem is with any kind of plug-in I’m trying…not with a particular one.
   Please help me in some way.

 * The archives are being seen as corrupt when you try to download them via the
   admin area. Try installing plugins manually using [FTP](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients)(
   or use whatever file management application your host provides).

 * I am having a similar issue with ALL new plug-ins, plus the manual way I use
   to use is not working either. They appear in my content file, but when I look
   in plug-ins on my dashboard there are no new ones. I have tried with nearly 10
   plugins, none show up!
