• Great plugin, just having some trouble with the album display.

I use the album display code for one album,

    [album=1, template=extend]

but instead of just showing one album on the page it shows all of my galleries as albums on the page. Not sure why it is doing this…

On the “Manage Albums” page I have even assigned each gallery to a specific album, but this hasn’t done the trick. Anyone else experience this or anyone can shed some insight on how I can fix this?

    Thanks!

    David

  • I have the exact same issue on my testing site.

I’m using wordpress 3.0 and the latest release of nextgen gallery.

Nexgen gallery is my only activiated plugin at the momment.

    I created a page in WP3.0.
then created an Album in nexgen gallery.
Added about 3 galleries and dragged them into the new album.
Then I edited the Album, linked it to the page, choose a thumbnail for the album.
Then went to the page editor and used the nextgen icon to insert the album code.

Then when viewing the page, all you see are the embedded galleries of Album instead of the Album and its associated thumbnail.

    Is this a bug?

    Just a quick update…
There is a workaround that seems to work, but not sure this is the right solution…

I nab this after reading some other posts…

If you make a top level Album… then create other albums, and place those under the top level album, it works as it’s suppose to. Not sure why a top level Album is needed though….

So instead of the concept of Pics -> Galleries -> Albums.. just add another -> Album to the end 🙂

oh.. and don’t link the the sub-albums to a page… that seems to throw it into a loop…
