# Problem with custom registration fields

 * I’m attempting to add a dropdown list to capture a customers location during 
   registration by using a custom field.
 * I followed the guidance here: [http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/custom-country-codes-registrationprofile/](http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/custom-country-codes-registrationprofile/)
   and used one of the lists posted. However the list doesn’t then work, and on 
   further investigation it looks like ‘\n’ is being added after each line.
 * To make sure it wasn’t simply a case of there being an issue with the list, I
   then tried creating one myself from scratch, however the same thing happened.
