    Hello,

I just installed Timeline Express and wanted to create my first Announcement. But the date does not want to work, this error appears:

Warning: date() expects parameter 2 to be integer, string given in /homepages/45/d564817375/htdocs/clickandbuilds/RoxaneC/wp-content/plugins/timeline-express/lib/admin/cpt/timeline-express-admin-columns.php on line 105

    Can you help me ?

My version of php is 7.0

    Thank you so much

    Hi @roxypl29,

What is the date that you are entering into the date field? What is the format?

I wanted to put the date of July 2009.
It did not work, so I tried the date of July 1st 2009.
But it did not work either.

The current format is as follows: F j, Y

I do not know what happened, but the date works now.
By cons, as you can see in the image below, I have a problem displaying.
I do not know if it’s a conflict with my wordpress theme ‘Massive Dynamic’

I do not see my screenshot appear so I put the url here:

    Hi @roxypl29,

Glad the date issue is now resolved.

Do you know where that code is coming from? Is that content added to the announcement, or is that generated by the theme itself?

I just deleted the announcement text and the timeline appears normally. (See screenshot below)

So I can not put text, and I do not know if it’s because of my theme the problem.

Do not hesitate to tell me if I have to create a new post on the support.

If that markup is being generated by the theme (or a page builder) or something that you are using, you may want to try and add it into our add-on, HTML excerpts:
    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/timeline-express-html-excerpt-add-on/

The HTML excerpts add-on allows for markup to be added into the new custom field, and there is no limit to the excerpt using that field. Additionally, that field is independent of the page content, so you can create custom excerpts for your announcements.

Thank you for this alternative but it still doesn’t work

    Hi @roxypl29,

That’s after you’ve added all of that code into the content editor? Did you do so from the text tab?

What plugin is generating all of that extra code around your text?

    Thread Starter roxypl29

    (@roxypl29)

After installing the add-on ‘Timeline Express HTML’, I put my text here:

    Text Add-on
    http://prntscr.com/dd8bj4

And I published, and then the code appears around my text. I don’t know why.

I do not have many plugins installed and activated :
    Plugin
    http://prntscr.com/dd8eqm

So I do not think the code is generated by the plugins. I think there is a compatibility problem with my theme ‘Massive Dynamic’ http://massivedynamic.co/

But it gets too complicated for me. So I’ll try with another timeline (or do not put it)

That theme must be hooking into the_content and generating all of that markup, but for some reason, it is not getting parsed – but instead echoing out as plain text.

My recommendation would be to shoot an email over to that theme author and ask them what might be going wrong. It’s possible it’s something small, and since we don’t have access to that theme we can’t locate it on our end.

Thank you very much, I will send an email to the editor of the theme. I will pass on our conversation to him. Thanks for the quick support and excuse me for my average English
