# Problem with default language Polylang 1.8.

 * Hi!
 * Using Polylang 1.8. plugin and my problem is that when the plugin is active the
   website goes to default as English which is not the primary language.
 * So if I go to [http://www.myaddress.com](http://www.myaddress.com) it goes straight
   away to [http://www.myaddress.com/en](http://www.myaddress.com/en). Which should
   not happen.
 * How to get the website to my primary language which is Finnish?

 * I had english as default language on Polylang settings page, you should change
   default language. Click the language you want to be default and there will be
   a star icon to show it is chosen.
 * It is also important to remember set the right language for each page you have.

 * mrblues, thank you for this tip, but on the settings page, there is no default
   language pref on the latest version of Polylang. This make it confusing.
