 * Hi
 * The widget works to display post titles, but does the options to open in new
tab, display thumbnails and show experpts are greyed out. Am I missing something?

 * Strangely, it seems that the options are there after the settings have been saved,
the site is exited and then a new session is started….
 * Is there any way to control the size of the featured image?
 * Is there any way to use the meta-description rather than the opening of the article?

 * The featured image displayed follows the sidebar content width dimensions and
unless you modify your sidebar width, there’s no way to control that at this
   time.

 * I’m confused by this question. The options in the widget uses an excerpt if one
is set in the post, otherwise it uses a summary of the post itself. What is the“
meta-description” that you’re referring to? Once I have that information, I’ll
be better able to answer. 🙂
 * Let me know if you have any questions.

 * I think it is the same as you are talking about. Yoast (SEO) allows me to set
a “meta-description”, which is what appears in Google and when I share the post
on social media, rather than the first lines of the post.

 * The Display WordPress Post widget uses the excerpt as set here: [screenshot](http://d.pr/i/1iL2d)
 * Thus, it’s not possible to pull in data set in the Yoast SEO plugin into this
   widget.
 * I hope that clarifies things! Marking as resolved as the widget works as expected.
